Antique coastal report chart of Olympia Harbor in Washington, when it was Washington Territory. Includes water depths and a sparsely populated Olympia. According to historian Lynn Middleton Olympia was named at the suggestion of Colonel Issac N. Ebey after the Olympic Mountain Range though the area has had a long list names. Documented names by the Native Americas are Stu-chus-and, Stitchas, and Stehchass. The settlers would call the area New Market, Smithter, and Smithfield before settling on Olympia.
Light-weight paper in very good antique condition with a few small spots and mild toning along fold.
