Ebey after the Olympic Mountain Range though the area has had a long list names. Documented names by the Native Americas are Stu-chus-and, Stitchas, and Stehchass. The settlers would call the area New Market, Smithter, and Smithfield before settling on Olympia. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBrowning has taken place to varying degrees along the fold lines on all three maps.
